Introducing our New Community Engagement Manager – Daniel Vereb

Please welcome our new Community Engagement Manager, Daniel (Danny) Vereb, who is joining us in late October 2021.  Danny is a lifelong Pittsburgher, a proud South Hills resident and a Baldwin Whitehall graduate who received a BA in English and Theatre at Allegheny College.  With fourteen years of experience in the nonprofit sector, Danny’s roles have always centered on creatively and effectively engaging the public, alumni, students, or partner organizations.  During his seven years at the CMU Tepper School, where he served as Assistant Director of the MCF (master’s in computational finance) Program, Danny demonstrated his ability to create and lead programs and events that attracted larger, deeper and more diverse participation. His roots in the creative arts led to marketing, event and engagement roles at the Carnegie Museums, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and Heinz History Center.  Danny’s expertise extends to communications and social media, program management and evaluation, and community partnerships.  He and his wife, who grew up in Elizabeth, have three young sons.   Danny volunteered with local theaters and is active on several Boards (Edgewood Symphony Orchestra, Dormont Recreation Board, Neighbors in the Strip).
