Process/Cycles

Grant Proposal Process

The process of seeking grant support from the Jefferson Regional Foundation begins with a thorough review of the guidelines and resources available on this website including eligibility, service area and grantmaking priorities. Feel free to contact the Foundation staff directly to discuss your questions after you have reviewed our site. The grant proposal process begins with the completion of an online Letter of Intent. In response to your Letter of Intent, Foundation staff will talk with you, explore additional questions, and examine whether a program or project is a good potential match to the Foundation’s mission and priorities before the submission of a full proposal. Access to the Foundation’s online proposal application is provided directly by Foundation staff.

Grant Cycles

The Jefferson Regional Foundation Board considers grant proposals targeting communities south of Pittsburgh, PA for approval at three meetings a year – in March, June and December. Please note that Board action occurs only after those proposals have been reviewed by the staff and recommended by the Grants Committee.
