About the Diversity Equity & Racial Justice Action Team
The Jefferson Community Collaborative’s Diversity, Equity, and Racial Justice Action Team formed in summer of 2020 with the goal to lead Collaborative Organizations in working together to create a stronger, healthier region by:
- celebrating differences
- striving for equity and inclusion in the Jefferson Area
- championing racial justice
To date, the Team has hosted a highly-rated daylong implicit bias training for 70 stakeholders, Collaborative meetings on equity, and workshops exploring the racial wealth gap, and provided guidance for the 2021 Jefferson Forum’s Keynote on Asset Framing for Equity (led by national speaker Trabian Shorters.)
DEI Resource Bank for Community Organizations
The team has also compiled a resource bank to provide Jefferson Area organizations with best practices and resources to initiate and further these important conversations and drive action around Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) with board, staff, and stakeholders at your organization.
